FAQ

What control panels does this J-022-101-JMSE harness work with?

This harness only works with tier 4 engines and the JMS Elite control panel (blue or red handheld remote)

Can I install this harness myself?

If you don’t have a power pull out reel, you can install this harness yourself. First, you would need to cut the zip ties that attaches the harness to the bundle of hoses on the rear side of the jetter. Then cut the zip ties that hold the harness to the main 2” x 4” steel rail on the front of the jetter behind the engine. Then you will be able to disconnect the harness and pull it out at the rear of the jetter. To install do those steps in reverse. If you have a power pull out reel, then your jetter should be taken to a service center because it will require the water tanks being removed.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Prior to installation, we highly recommend running the harness over the top of the water tanks and testing it with your jetter to ensure that this part has resolved the issue.

Will this harness fit on single axle units and tandem axle units?

Yes, this harness is designed to fit on all unit lengths.

Can I order individual parts of this harness?

It’s possible, but due to the intricate nature of this main jetter harness, we would require sending in your harness for repair at one of our service centers to determine if it’s repairable or requires replacing.

How do I know if my main harness is defective?

If the screen of your control panel reads: Engine Hours: 0, Oil Pressure: 0, Battery Voltage: 0, Coolant Temperature: -40 this generally indicates the harness is possibly defective. In addition, if you get a J1939 fault, that also indicates a problem with communication between the engine and the control panel which is likely the harness. Call your USJ rep for help in troubleshooting this issue.
