The 4000PSI 8GPM Dump Gun is a great jetting accessory for pressure washing. The gun comes with a fan jet and pencil jet, but rotary tips are also available to achieve a wider spray pattern. In addition, extensions can be added to make the barrel longer if needed. This gun does not require an unloader valve because of its dumping feature. When the trigger is released, water dumps at a low pressure out of the end of the top shaft. Due to the dump gun being rated for 8GPM, when operating the bypass must be opened to adjust the GPM. On Tier 4 JMS Elite control panels there is a pressure washing gun mode button that can be used to automatically set the jetter at 3000PSI (the most optimal pressure for washing).

FAQ

Can I change the gun mode on my sewer jetter to operate at 4000PSI?

Yes, call your USJ rep and they can walk you through the steps to adjust this setting.

Do I need an unloader valve?

No, because this gun has the dumping feature, it does not require an unloader valve.

Water is coming out of the end of my dump gun even when I pressure down. Is that ok?

Yes, the dumping feature means that when you release the trigger of the gun, instead of dead heading the water pump, the water is relieved at low pressure out of the end of the top barrel on the gun. This protects the pump against over pressurization.

Why does my engine bog down when I use this dump gun?

If your engine is bogging down, you likely need to open your bypass valve to divert some water back to the tank since the gun is only rated for 8GPM.
