The JUMPJET CHECK VALVE is used for jump jet pulsation system. It mounts to pump head and is what regulates the water going into the pump while in jump jet mode. The jump jet should only be used when the jetting machine is running at idle (maximum 1500 PSI).

Can I change the gun mode on my sewer jetter to operate at 4000PSI?

Yes, call your USJ rep and they can walk you through the steps to adjust this setting.

Do I need an unloader valve?

No, because this gun has the dumping feature, it does not require an unloader valve.

Water is coming out of the end of my dump gun even when I pressure down. Is that ok?

Yes, the dumping feature means that when you release the trigger of the gun, instead of dead heading the water pump, the water is relieved at low pressure out of the end of the top barrel on the gun. This protects the pump against over pressurization.

Why does my engine bog down when I use this dump gun?

If your engine is bogging down, you likely need to open your bypass valve to divert some water back to the tank since the gun is only rated for 8GPM.
