Industrial pressure washer nozzles are essential if you want to use your sewer jetter machine for surface cleaning. Every nozzle has a targeted application, so when pressure washing, it’s important that you select the right kind. A common selection is a 3K dump gun (2J-283-ASSY) which comes with a pencil jet and a fan jet. If you’re working with difficult debris such as chewing gum stuck on stadiums benches (as one of our customers does), the pencil tip would be best suited for the sticky job. Alternatively, fan jets are more often used for general surface cleaning such as washing down your jetter after a dirty job or removing graffiti from a wall.
What is a Pressure Washer Nozzle?
A pressure washer nozzle is a spraying device to be fitted on the end of a high-pressure jetting gun. These nozzles are not your average pressure washer nozzle you can buy from the hardware store down the road. They can deal with extreme pressures up to 7,000 PSI, which means they need to be exceptionally tough and durable.
Types of Pressure Washer Nozzles
When choosing your pressure washing nozzles, it’s important to remember the nozzles can only be used on the end of a high-pressure gun. The operator holds the gun while pressure washing, so safety gear is necessary to ensure protection for the operator.
There are 3 main types of pressure washing guns US Jetting offers:
- 3K Dump Gun (2J-328-ASSY): this gun comes with two tips and is the most popular for pressure washing. Rated for 3000 PSI, this level of pressure is equipped to handle most pressure washing requirements.
- 7K Safety Gun (2J-171-ASSY): with the capacity to go up to 7000 PSI, this gun should be used on tougher debris. It also comes with a fan tip and pencil tip.
- 10K Gun (2J-159): this extremely high-powered gun should only be used in conjection with 10k rated safety gear and with an experienced operator.
In addition to jet tips that come with most guns, an orbital nozzle such as the Monroe nozzle can be used at the end of the gun. This pressure washer nozzle has an internal rotor that produces a rotating zero degree or pencil jet stream of water to thoroughly clean a larger surface area more efficiently.
Uses of Pressure Washer Nozzles
Pressure washer nozzles are used to clean surfaces such as stadiums, parking decks, walls, or even your jetting machine. We have some customers who solely pressure wash with their hydro jetters, so they have customized reels on the back of their unit to run 3 guns at once.
